November 12th, 2024: The author has created a tale about the future of connectedness in society that is both thought provoking and very entertaining. I’m looking forward to the next installment!
November 8th, 2024: I loved Project Incarnate. The world-building of Tranquility City is amazing - it feels so real. The mystery keeps one guessing, with twists and turns that'll keep one hooked. The ideas explored in this book are thought-provoking and terrifying. The characters, especially Dr. Samson and Lieutenant O'Neil, are complex and relatable. The author does an awesome job blending sci-fi and suspense. Love this book! Also, Tranquility City is vividly drawn, the mystery [is] engaging, and the characters are well-developed. Thought-provoking themes and suspenseful twists - what more could one want?
November 6th, 2024: I read this book on recommendation and I’m glad I did. It’s an interesting murder mystery that takes you through a plausible future world where technology connects everybody.
October 19, 2024: Bern Hughes is my favorite new author. This is my second time through Project Incarnate and it was even better the second time. So many details of the story that you think about differently on a second read through. Can't wait for book two!
October 10, 2024: This is a well-written book from an indie author with a very believable take on how the future of computers and the internet will change society. My only caution is that you should be prepared for long sequences of dialogue and descriptions that will require an above-average reading comprehension level to fully appreciate. Be warned, this is not basic fiction for a quick and mindless read.
March 29, 2024 (prior edition): I used to read a lot of books, then steaming and YouTube came and I stopped. I started a few books over the years and never finished them. It was the same old thing and besides, there were videos to watch. I decided to try to read a book again and picked [Project Incarnate]. I got lucky. The book had enough new ideas that were relevant and plausible it captured my atrophied attention span. You can read the synopsis for details, for this reader what matters most is that it is worth your time.
March 9, 2024 (prior edition): I really enjoyed this book! BBHughes has created the world of The Connectorate — the human future where much of the population has a direct brain interface with the AI network successfully governing society for hundreds of years. The book grabs you with an intriguing murder mystery from the outset, develops interesting characters, and grows and weaves the subplots to an unexpected finish. I highly recommend this book and look forward to his next one!
February 20, 2024 (prior edition): From the lunar landscape to the depths of human intrigue, [Project Incarnate] is an electrifying journey into the future. Set against the backdrop of a bustling lunar colony, it captivates with its intricate plot twists and vividly imagined society. With its gripping narrative and well-crafted characters, [Project Incarnate] kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. It is a must-read for fans of both science fiction and suspense.
